New CSAT GPRA CSV Upload Template and CSAT GPRA Codebook available for grantees.

The SPARS team has revised the CSV Upload Template and Codebook for the CSAT Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) Client Outcome Measures for Discretionary Programs tool (CSAT GPRA Tool). The changes were made in response to user feedback and updates to the data entry and CSV batch upload functionality. 

• A revised CSAT GPRA CSV Upload Template and [NEW AS OF 1/21/2023] CSAT GPRA Client Outcome Measures Codebook, each with a version date of April 2023, are available on the SPARS Resource site:  

  • There are five field additions, thirteen field name changes, and adjustments to the allowable values for fields. 

  • Refer to the ChangeLog tab in the codebook for a full list of updates made to the December 2022 version. 

  • The updated CSV Upload Template (April 2023 version) will be required for uploads submitted on or after May 18, 2023. Grantees using CSV Batch Upload for CSAT GPRA data should prepare their systems to use the April 2023 version of the codebook and CSV template for any data submitted on or after May 18, 2023. 

• Although the codebook was revised, the CSAT GPRA Tool has not changed.  All data previously entered or uploaded is saved correctly in SPARS.  There is no action needed by grantees for previously entered data.  

• The SPARS CSV Batch Upload Data Preparation Office Hours presentation, which provides information on preparing data for upload using the SPARS CSV batch upload feature, is available from the SPARS Training page (requires login).
