CSAT and TTA XML Batch Upload Retirement
SAMHSA is retiring the SPARS Extensible Markup Language (XML) batch upload feature on September 30, 2024, as a result of the availability of the Comma-separated Values (CSV) batch upload feature in SPARS for all Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), Training and Technical Assistance (TTA), and Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) grantees.
Most CSAT and TTA grantees have already transitioned to the CSV batch upload feature. For any grantees still using the XML Batch Upload, you should begin transitioning to CSV batch upload now. The following trainings and resources for the CSV batch upload feature are available on SPARS:
- CSV Batch Upload Guide
- CSV Batch Upload Training Slides
- CSAT GPRA Client Outcome Measures Codebook
- CSAT GPRA CSV Upload Template
- TTA Codebook
- TTA Follow-Up Form CSV Upload Template
- TTA Post-Event Form CSV Upload Template
- TTA Event Description Form CSV Upload Template
Grantees that wish to submit CSV files to SPARS using an automated process should now be testing and implementing this process.
The SPARS Help Desk is available for any questions about CSV batch upload. If you need more hands-on assistance to begin using CSV batch upload you can submit a Technical Support Request on SPARS here.
If you have questions or experience any issues with the transition to CSV batch upload, contact the SPARS Help Desk via email, SPARSHelpDesk@mathematica-mpr.com, or phone, 800-685-7623, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.
