SAMHSA Unified Performance Reporting Tools - Project (SUPRT-P)

SAMHSA’s Unified Performance Reporting Tools – Project (SUPRT-P) Paper Tool is now available on SAMHSA's Performance Accountability and Reporting System (SPARS).
SUPRT-P is a new quarterly project-level performance reporting tool for applicable grants from the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), and Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP).
Grantees assigned to SUPRT-P will use the tool to report annual targets, quarterly progress, client demographics, and other project-level performance measures through SPARS. Grantees will report only the subset of SUPRT-P indicators assigned to their grant.
What You Need to Know
- Grantees awarded before January 2026 who are assigned SUPRT-P indicators will begin collecting data using this new tool as of October 1, 2026.
- Grantees will set targets for and report only on the subset of indicators assigned to your grant. Your GPO will notify you of assigned SUPRT-P indicators.
- October: GPOs will review program guidance, indicator definitions, and reporting expectations during grantee kick-off meetings.
- For CMHS Grantees who currently report using Infrastructure Development, Prevention, and Mental Health Promotion (IPP) indicators; your GPO will notify you if your grant is transitioning to SUPRT-P.
Resources and Training
To help you prepare, the SPARS team will:
- Post the SUPRT-P Paper Tool and additional resources to the SPARS Resources and Training pages.
- Provide a pre-recorded SUPRT-P Overview Training in September 2026 covering the tool and key reporting policies.
Stay tuned for announcements on SPARS and email notifications as additional resources become available.
