SUPRT-A/C, MAI PORT, and SPARS Enhancement Updates

The SPARS system was updated to improve performance for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Unified Performance Reporting Tools (SUPRT)- Administrative (SUPRT-A) and Client (SUPRT-C), and the Minority AIDS Initiative – Pilot Program Online Reporting Tool (MAI PORT). The SPARS system updates also include enhancements to improve the overall user experience.
SPARS users will experience the following improvements:
SUPRT-A/C
- The SUPRT-A Question D2 ICD-10 code discrepancy was resolved. ICD-10 codes F52-F55 now can be accepted through manual data entry or batch upload.
- The SUPRT-C Question B7 discrepancy between batch upload files and the data presenting to users has been resolved. All past uploaded files have this discrepancy resolved.
- SUPRT-A/C batch upload files that were stuck in the validating/pending status have been resolved. Grantees that encountered this issue should reupload their batch upload files.
- Three new fields were added to the SUPRT-A/C batch upload error report. Users will now see Grant ID, Assessment Type, and Assessment Date included in batch upload error reports moving forward.
MAI PORT
- A comment box was added to the MAI PORT reports. MAI PORT grantees and GPOs can share comments when reports are submitted, approved, and sent back for remediation.
SPARS Enhancements
- For SUPRT-A/C and MAI PORT, the navigation bar has been adjusted from a top navigation panel to now a left-side navigation panel.

- A search bar was added to the grant select popup window to allow grantees with access to multiple grants to easily find their intended grant.

- The User Management Service (UMS) functionality was integrated into Cross-Center. Users can now access UMS through their “Profile” dropdown in the top right to request access to grants associated with SUPRT and MAI PORT tools.
