SUPRT-A/C, MAI PORT, TTA, CSAT, CSAP and SPARS Enhancement Updates

The SPARS system was updated to improve performance for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Unified Performance Reporting Tools (SUPRT)- Administrative (SUPRT-A) and Client (SUPRT-C), the Minority AIDS Initiative – Pilot Program Online Reporting Tool (MAI PORT), in addition to some updates in the Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Programs and Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) systems. Additionally, the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) training materials were posted to SPARS. The SPARS system updates also include enhancements to improve the overall user experience.
SPARS users will experience the following improvements:
SUPRT-A/C
- SUPRT-A/C Record Closeouts can now be individually deleted through the system.
- Grantees that want to delete clients in SUPRT must delete clients with GPRA or NOMs assessments in CSAT or CMHS first before deleting clients in SUPRT.
- The SOR/TOR Section B report was integrated in the Program Level Performance report. Note that the SOR/TOR Section B data does not refresh nightly. The date the data was pulled is noted on the report.
- The TREE grant reassessment rate was updated to a 3-month cadence.
- A validation check was added to the SUPRT Section D diagnoses. The additional validation will inform grantees that if any of the SUDDiagnosis = 1, the other two will also need to be set to 1. If the client only has one or two valid diagnoses, the other diagnoses should be left blank.
- All clients are now searchable in the Client Management page, even if they have no assessments associated with their record.
MAI PORT
- The Annual Target Report (ATR) validation issue preventing grantees from submitting their report without a prevention strategy identified has been resolved.
TTA
- Batch upload for TTA users is now working as expected.
- The TTA Reports link in the SPARS Homepage Quick Links section was updated to direct users to the available TTA visualizations.
CSAT
- The Fiscal Year edit button is now editable for previously submitted SOR/TOR Section B Program instruments.
- The API batch upload validation error preventing users from uploading their data files has been resolved.
CSAP
- CSAP Online Report Tool (CORT) Data Entry Training Videos are posted on the SPARS Training page to support data collection for all the CORT grants.
SPARS Enhancements
- GPOs and Proxy GPOs can now access a read-only view of grants they manage.
