SUPRT – Administrative and Client Data Entry in SPARS is Live!

The SPARS data entry system is live for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Unified Performance Reporting Tools (SUPRT)- Administrative (SUPRT-A) and Client (SUPRT-C).
Effective October 1, 2025, eligible grantees funded through the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) with more than one year remaining in their project period will transition to using the SUPRT-A/C tools. Grantees will be notified via eRA Commons regarding whether their grant is transitioning to SUPRT-A and SUPRT-C.
Please note the SUPRT tool will show the completion status of CSAT GPRA/CMHS NOMs assessments through September 24, 2025. Any assessments entered into GPRA/NOMs after September 25, 2025, will not yet be in SUPRT. These assessments will be migrated into SUPRT throughout the data entry grace period, but there will be a delay before the assessments appear in SUPRT.
Please also note that currently, the SUPRT tool is creating place holders for reassessments in SUPRT-A/C. If these reassessments were completed in GPRA/NOMs, grantees do not need to complete the reassessments again in SUPRT.
The following resource is available on the SPARS Training page to support grantees in this transition:
- SUPRT-A/C Tool Walkthrough Training – This training provides an understanding of the high-level goals of SUPRT-A/C, specific data collection requirements for each form, strategies for when and how to begin data collection, a walkthrough of each question on the forms and where to locate training materials and resources.
If you have questions after reviewing these resources, please contact the SPARS Help Desk via email, SPARSHelpDesk@mathematica-mpr.com or by phone, 800-685-7623, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.
