SUPRT-A/C and SPARS Enhancement Updates

News

The SPARS system was updated to improve performance for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Unified Performance Reporting Tools (SUPRT)- Administrative (SUPRT-A) and Client (SUPRT-C). The SPARS system updates also include enhancements to improve the overall user experience.

SPARS users will experience the following improvements:

SUPRT-A/C

  • SUPRT-A/C batch upload issues, including the scenarios where clients were not displaying after successful submission or clients were creating duplicate records, have been addressed. If your clients were not displaying after successful submission, they should now be visible in the system. Duplicate records should be deleted using the “Delete Client” option.
  • The internal error users have experienced while accessing client records has been addressed.
  • The TRWS grant reassessment rate was updated to a 6-month cadence, and the CORC grant reassessment rate was updated to a 3-month cadence.
  • The TOR program implemented a policy change that was announced on 5/29/2026. The system now reflects these changes.
  • The SUPRT annual assessments for TOR grants were removed if they were due after 6/1/2025. Additionally, the TOR program grant assessment window cadence was updated to +-60 days from due date.
  • The issues where SUPRT-C and reassessments were not displaying for SOR4 grants when they were expected have been addressed.
  • The bug for the Welcome tile on the landing page that displayed the total assessment counts incorrectly for some grants was resolved.

SPARS Enhancements

  • The SUPRT grantee assessment task list and client management view now display the earliest and latest date of eligibility. Grantees can now filter on the eligibility fields to help facilitate efficient data collection.
