New SPARS Sign-in Using Username Rather Than Email Now Available on SPARS
We are pleased to announce the new SPARS sign-in using username rather than email is now available on SPARS starting Thursday, March 20, 2025. We encourage users to sign in to SPARS (https://spars.samhsa.gov/) using their current SPARS username (rather than their email address) days in advance of the Monday, March 31, 2025, reporting period deadline.
What to Do When Signing In?
- Sign in using your current SPARS username (rather than email address) and password.
- If you don’t remember your SPARS username (typically but not always firstname.lastname), follow the guidance in the ‘How to Find Your Username in SPARS’ training.
- If you don’t remember your SPARS password or didn’t set one up when you first verified an existing SPARS account, contact the SPARS Help Desk requesting a password reset.
What is New in This Update?
Users will enjoy the following new features:
- Streamlined sign-in using current SPARS username (rather than their email address) and password.
- Self-serve recovery of username and password without answering security questions.
- Self-serve viewing and editing of profile information.
