New CSAT ED-ALT Program Data Collection Report Now Available on SPARS!
The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Emergency Department Alternatives to Opioids Program (ED-ALT) Data Collection Report is live on SPARS as of December 18th, 2024. ED-ALT grantees can use this tool to report and track non-opioid therapies provided to emergency department (ED) patients. Grantees are expected to start uploads to SPARS for the semi-annual report due April 30, 2025. This will support program efforts to manage pain without opioids in the ED and reduce the likelihood of future opioid misuse. A Frequently Asked Questions guide, training slide deck, and recorded training will be available in January, 2025. A training will be held for grantees in late January or in February, 2025. You will receive a notification from SPARS announcing the resources, live training, and a registration link.
