New CSAT ED-ALT Program Data Collection Report Now Available on SPARS!

The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Emergency Department Alternatives to Opioids Program (ED-ALT) Data Collection Report is live on SPARS as of December 18th, 2024. ED-ALT grantees can use this tool to report and track non-opioid therapies provided to emergency department (ED) patients. Grantees are expected to start uploads to SPARS for the semi-annual report due April 30, 2025. This will support program efforts to manage pain without opioids in the ED and reduce the likelihood of future opioid misuse. The SPARS Resources page now hosts the following resources to support ED-ALT grantees:
A Frequently Asked Questions guide, training slide deck, and recorded training will be available in January, 2025. A training will be held for grantees in late January or in February, 2025. You will receive a notification from SPARS announcing the resources, live training, and a registration link.
