New SUPRT – Administrative and Client Tool Walkthrough Training Now Available on SPARS!

The SAMHSA SUPRT-A/C Tool Walkthrough Training is now available on the SPARS  Training page to support data collection for the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) SAMSHA Unified Performance Reporting Tool (SUPRT) – Administrative (A) and Client (C). This training is for SPARS users who oversee or are responsible for collecting and submitting SUPRT-A/C data. This training does not include data entry into SUPRT-A/SUPRT-C; there will be a separate course for SUPRT-A-C data entry training.   

The SUPRT-A/C Tool Walkthrough Training includes: 

  • An overview of the high-level goals of SUPRT-A/C
  • Specific data collection requirements for each form
  • Strategies for when and how to begin data collection
  • Walkthrough of each question on the forms
  • Key training materials and resources and where to find them   

The SUPRT-A/C tools covered in this training take effect on October 1, 2025 for direct client services discretionary grantees with more than one year remaining in their project period. Grantees were notified through eRA Commons whether their grant will transition to SUPRT-A and SUPRT-C.
