CMHS grantees will be able to save their data as they enter records in SPARS

The Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) is implementing a new incremental save feature to enhance grantees’ experience entering data collected using the CMHS National Outcome Measures (NOMs) Tool.
Beginning August 22, 2024, CMHS grantees will be able to save their CMHS NOMs client-level services data as they enter records into SPARS; previously grantees had to complete all data entry for a given record before saving and submitting each record. This feature will empower users to enter data without running the risk of significant data loss. By saving data as they are entered, users will be able to pause data entry mid-record and pick up where they left off at any time. Note that records must be fully completed and submitted to be included in CMHS data downloads and online reports. Additionally, only submitted data will count toward grantee goals.
This new feature will change how users navigate the online data entry screens for the CMHS NOMs client-level tool. We strongly encourage CMHS users that enter data online in SPARS to review the following training and resources to learn about these changes:
