The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Emergency Department Alternatives to Opioids Program (ED-ALT) Data Collection Report will be available on SPARS in the coming weeks. ED-ALT grantees can use this tool to report and track non-opioid therapies provided to emergency department (ED) patients. This will support program efforts to manage pain without opioids in the ED and reduce the likelihood of future opioid misuse.

The SPARS Resources page will host the following resources in the coming weeks to support ED-ALT grantees:

  • The ED-ALT tool
  • A question-by-question guide
  • A frequently asked questions (FAQ) document
  • An upload/download procedural training

Announcements will be posted on SPARS and ED-ALT grantees are notified via email as each resource becomes available.

If you have questions, contact the SPARS Help Desk via email, SPARSHelpDesk@mathematica-mpr.com or by phone, 800-685-7623, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.
